Architectural Photography

I love Architectural photography and the many challenges it brings.  I come from the old school approach when it comes to this type of work.  The lighting is so complex, the slightest  change in prospective requires a completely new lighting setup. The work can be very tedious at time, but is also so very rewarding when it all comes together.

Blackmore Residences, Redwood City Ca. Designed by Kastrop Group Architects, of Redwood City, Ca.

This project called for a very unique, clean design.  Owner builder Jim Blackmore, has a keen eye for beauty and fine detail  and an abundance  of skill to achieve the quality craftsmanship needed for this remodel. It was an honer to work with such a talented team of individuals on this project, which was  intended for submission to Fine Home Building, Kitchen’s & Bath’s special edition.
The Kitchen features a handcrafted oak cabinets.

the Excalibur Hotel Casino – click to open/close

excalibur_8843bWOW!!   What a thrill!  My first trip to Las Vegas, was on assignment to photograph the Excalibur Hotel Casino. Of course the best veiw for this project just happened to be from a suit on the top floor of  the MGM Grand across the street. The Excalibur Hotel, Casino, Las Vegas, NV. Needless to say I love Las Vegas and hope to return very soon :)

My Bandwidth increases every month and the costs of hosting the tutorials is becoming prohibitively expensive. Donations are always greatly appreciated and will guarantee continued updates and on-line presents.

Thanks so much,
Dave

I use FireFox myself and haven’t noticed this issue. When the site is very, very busy it does have problems loading or loads VERY Slow. The site was extremely busy yesterday..

I have been working with my host to improve performance, but unfortunately his suggestion of compressing all of the image down to low quality is not going to happen… I have compress the quality enough..

I probably will be posting some new work to my architectural port really soon, two new articles and some major site updates (to the look at feel and function of the site) before I get back to finishing up more “thoughts” on this subject.
